With twenty years of teaching experience

and curriculum leadership (ranging from two of the nation’s top secondary state schools to international schools in Europe, Australasia and South East Asia), I remain flexible and adaptive in my approach.

I have a history of raising attainment with students meeting or exceeding their target grades and can quickly identify core skills, which require intervention or stretch and challenge, to ensure a student stays motivated and reaches their full potential. My teaching philosophy has always been simple: the student comes first. I understand how overwhelming English can sometimes feel, particularly for students who lack confidence or have additional learning needs. Through personalised lessons, clear explanations and manageable steps, I help students turn what can initially seem like a mountain of learning into something far more achievable.

As confidence grows, so does a student’s willingness to question, explore and take risks with their learning. This is often when the greatest progress happens, and when goals that once seemed out of reach begin to feel entirely possible.
